GLASTONBURY Festival will change the ticket-buying system when the first tickets for 2025 go on sale this month.

Hopeful festival goers will get their first chance to purchase tickets for next year's festival in just a week, but the scramble for tickets could be a calmer experience this year.

The festival has changed the process for those buying tickets, with each person trying to access the booking site being randomly assigned a place in the virtual queue.

When they reach the front of the queue, customers should be able to access the booking page and purchase tickets.

(Image: Glastonbury Festival) Glastonbury Festival states: "The booking process itself for 2025 will be the same as in previous years, however the way in which you join the booking process is changing.

"Rather than refreshing the holding page to attempt to access the booking page, this year, when the ticket sale begins (at 6pm or 9am respectively) everyone who is already on the glastonbury.seetickets.com page will randomly be assigned a place in a queue to access the booking process."

The festival has warned not to use multiple devices or browser tabs when buying tickets as it "may harm your chances" as the website may block your IP address.

It states: "Whilst we understand that everyone wants to have the best possible chance of booking a ticket, running multiple devices or tabs simultaneously to attempt to access the website may lead to your IP address being blocked, preventing you from buying a ticket. The same applies to sharing cookies and QueueIDs.

"Refreshing the page, using multiple tabs or many devices can look like suspicious behaviour and can harm your chances of getting through by triggering anti-bot software; therefore you must stick to one tab/device per IP address and please do not refresh your page once you are in the queue."

Tickets combined with coach travel will go on sale at 6pm on Thursday, November 14.

General admission tickets will go on sale three days later, at 9am on Sunday, November 17.
