PETER Andre has officially been confirmed to be headlining the "world-famous" London New Year’s Day Parade in 2025, it has been revealed.
The 51-year-old British and Australian pop star is expected to dash back from Dubai on January 1 to perform all his hits including Mysterious Girl, All about Us, Flava, Natural and I Feel You across the two mile route through London’s West End.
The completely free event, will be commencing at midday, near The Ritz Hotel and Green Park Station, and runs to Parliament Square, heading via Piccadilly Circus, Regent St St James’, Trafalgar Square and Whitehall.
The former I’m A Celebrity star, whose music has featured in the Top 40 Singles and Albums charts has said: “It will be a New Years honour.
“Headlining such an incredible event, for an enormous global audience on January 1 is going to be such brilliant fun – and its free for London to come and watch, and those watching on TV around the world.
“2025 is going to be a great year career wise for me with films and new music coming out. I can’t wait!”
Parade Executive Director Joe Bone said: “Peter Andre is world class, and bound to entertain London, and the millions watching at home.
“We wanted to give him our very own New Year’s honour, asking him to headline London’s celebrations and of course, he jumped at the chance, even though he was appearing at the Burj al-Arab on New Year’s Eve.”
“As ever, we’ve packed the parade, with tip top talent, there’s something for everyone and of all ages.
“Make sure to secure you place early – it’s going to be a busy one!”
All of this has occurred since Peter’s recent appearance on the red carpet with his Taunton, Somerset born wife Dr Emily MacDonagh and his two children, who he shares with Katie Price, Junior and Princess Andre to celebrate the 25th Pride of Britain Awards.
The event promises to be “a box of delights, packed full of performance, entertainment, music, dance and community involvement” with singers Rika, and BGT finalist Connie Talbot joining alongside Peter Andre in the line-up.
19 marching bands will also be attending from the USA, and more than a dozen London boroughs will be submitting their own entries, including dance groups and cheerleaders.
London New Year’s Day Parade attracts over 10,000 participants from the USA, UK, Europe and beyond with their TV audience reaching more than 500,000,000 annually.
Since the start in 1987 the parade has raised more than £2 million for charity.
