TWO Taunton businesses have teamed up to bring something "extra special" to doughnut and beer lovers in Somerset.

Quantock Brewery has teamed up with Dough Bros to create something special this month as the 'jam doughnut beer' launches today (November 8) between 4pm-9pm.

Held at the Quantock Brewery, there will be a special free event where you can go and try the new limited edition drink and enjoy a night of entertainment.

The jam doughnut beer is a part of Dough Bros celebrating its third year in business.

Consisting of raspberry puree among other ingredients, the new beer has been delicately crafted by Quantock Brewery along with Rick, Matt, and Mike at Dough Bros.

The beer will be sold in cans and is limited, so, once it's gone, it's gone.

The Taunton sweet snack sellers have been working on a series of big projects ever since moving from Station Road to Rexquote Park in Bishop's Lydeard last year where there is greater space for the company's operations.

The team also got a new van to transport doughnuts, something dubbed "genius" by many, after vehicles were held for hours due to a fire on the M5.

"This event with Quantock Brewery is part of something bigger we've been planning for a while," said Rick at Dough Bros. "We've also got plans to get our marquee set up at markets up and down Somerset, including the Bath Christmas Market, and also the Exeter Christmas Market."

Dough Bros will be selling all of their doughnuts at £1.50 this weekend as part of the anniversary celebrations.

The Quantock Brewery will also be hosting the Dough Bros event tomorrow (November 9) from 12pm - 9pm.
