TURMERIC Kitchen, a "celebrated" Indian restaurant on 65 Station Road, Taunton, has been awarded its fourth consecutive win at the Good Food Awards, clinching the Gold Seal for excellence in Somerset.

The restaurant’s commitment to producing high-quality cuisine and service and creating a good atmosphere has been formally recognized by the prestigious awards, which honour the top independent restaurants in the UK.

This week (on November 4), Turmeric Kitchen has been announced as the Good Food Award Gold Seal winner for the 2024/25 season, representing Somerset’s best in authentic, flavourful dining.

Recognition from the Good Food Awards

The Good Food Awards are renowned in the UK dining scene as a “significant achievement”, acknowledging dedication, consistency, and culinary mastery.

Hilary Mitchell, Editor at Edinburgh Live said: “The Good Food Awards are one of the most widely known accolades a restaurant can receive, apart from a coveted Michelin star of course.”

This award provides restaurants with opportunities to expand their reach and gain local and national recognition.

A Commitment to Culinary Excellence in Somerset

According to the team Turmeric Kitchen, the restaurant’s journey to becoming a local favourite has been one of passion, innovation, and dedication.

Restaurant manager and owner Niranjan Kumar said: “Winning the Good Food Award Gold Seal for four years in a row is an incredible honour.

“Our team works tirelessly to bring the best dining experience to Taunton, and this award reflects our dedication to delivering quality food and warm service to our guests. We couldn’t have achieved this without the support of our wonderful customers and the Taunton community.”

Celebrating with the Community

To celebrate this achievement, Turmeric Kitchen invites patrons to join them at their Taunton location and try the award-winning dishes that have captivated the Good Food Awards judges and loyal customers alike.

The team plans to continue their commitment to excellence and hopes to bring more accolades to Taunton’s thriving food scene in the years to come.
