THE labour candidate for the upcoming Rowbarton and Staplegrove by-elections has spoken about how they can make a change.
Moya Doherty is standing for election as a Somerset Councillor for Rowbarton and Staplegrove in Taunton.
Having lived in Taunton for over 30 years, her son and daughter were both educated at local primary and secondary schools before going on to Richard Huish College.
Moya worked as a criminal lawyer in London for many years and later, after having her family, at Bridgwater and Taunton College as an assistant in the library.
Moya is part of the church in Taunton attending Living Light Christian Church, she enjoys attending the friendly, local Labour Party meetings and is grateful for her colleagues’ support in entering this by-election.
The candidates for this Somerset County Ward, on Taunton's northern outskirts plus Kingston St Mary and Norton Fitzwarren, are as follows :

Polling Day is Thursday, November 21.
Speaking about herself ahead of the upcoming by-election, Moya said: “Having taught at the college and assisted young people in the library, and having had two children of my own, I am aware of the challenges facing young people today.
"I would use my position as a County Councillor to encourage the Council to make more financial provision for the youth of this town and surrounding areas, especially in the provision of safe places to for the youth to meet, relax, socialise and play sport.”
