A VARIETY of high-profile celebrities have appeared on I'm a Celeb with many taking that famous walk across the bridge after a chat with Ant and Dec - but have any of them had ties to Somerset?

Here is a list of some celebrities that have been on, or are set to appear on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, that have either visited Somerset or have ties to the county.

Coleen Rooney:

Set to be "the highest paid" I'm a Celeb! contestant in the history of the ITV show, Coleen Rooney is set to make around £1.5 million from being on I'm a Celeb.

That's more than half of what Nigel Farage made when he earned a cool reported £1 million for appearing on I'm a Celeb last year.

Coleen, wife of former Manchester United footballer Wayne Rooney, is "optimistic" ahead of her TV appearance and spoke via her Instagram about going on the show.

Coleen said: "I would like to experience it, [it's] something different, I'm doing it for myself and to meet new people.

"I have been in the public eye for over 20 years now, and people take what they want from it.

"I do think people will get a better idea of what kind of person I am."

"There's been a lot of news saying that I can't do trial because of illness but that's not true.

"I can do every trial."

Coleen is a fan of the Glastonbury Festival and has been spotted at the event over the years.

Back in 2011, Wayne and Coleen had been partying for four days at the Somerset Festival, which was a wet and muddy event.

According to Coleen, Wayne Rooney turned down the chance to meet US rapper Jay-Z at the Glastonbury Festival that year due to a "bad hangover".

The celebrity is also well-known for the "Wagatha Christie" case involving her and Rebekah Vardy, who is married to Premier League footballer, Jamie Vardy.

In 2019, Rooney accused Vardy of leaking private information about her to the press through an Instagram account.

Vardy sued Rooney for libel, and the case went to trial in 2022.

The court dismissed Vardy's claim and ordered her to pay 90% of Rooney's legal costs, which were estimated to be over £1.8 million.

Although she didn't meet her eventual husband, Joe Swash, on the show when she was competing, Stacey found her eyes falling for the former EastEnders actor when Joe was presenting for the show after Stacey was crowned Queen of the Jungle.

Lamb lasted 20 days in the jungle before losing the public vote on December 1 and placing 6th.

Lamb said he was "disappointed" but had "had such an extraordinary time" after leaving the camp. He also said that the experience "changed me as a person".

Larry Lamb, now 77, opened 'The Moo Inn' in Blagdon, North Somerset, temporarily replacing the locals' Blagdon Inn.
