A SOMERSET-based campsite won the Best Adult Only Campsite award at an awards night this week.
One of the UK’s go-to camping and glamping booking platforms, Campsites.co.uk, announced its much-anticipated Camping and Glamping Award winners for 2024.
Cheddar Bridge Touring Park, in Cheddar, won best in class in a category competing against other sites situated in the South West.
The site is in a prime location by the River Yeo and just a five minute walk into the heart of Cheddar.
There are waterside pitches, or cosy camping pods, with Cheddar Gorge also just a "stone’s throw away".
The site has gained an impressive 4.96 star rating on their travel listing, with 100% saying they would recommend the site.
Guests continue to leave huge praise with comments including "We landed on our feet finding this little campsite” and “Beautiful site with immaculate toilet and shower facilities”.
Old Oaks Touring Park in Glastonbury was also runner up of the Best Adult Only Campsite in the South West, with Somerset dominating in the category.

The awards cover various categories, including ‘Best Campsite’, ‘Best Glamping Site’ and ‘Most Unique Site’. Other titles include the ‘Greener Site Award’, ‘Best Newcomer' and 'Best Budget Friendly Campsite'.
