A HOLLYWOOD actor has been revealed to be coming to a Somerset town for a 2024 Christmas lights switch on.
Luke Evans, 45, will be in Yeovil, Somerset, today (November 16) to kick off the town's Christmas festivities.
Funded by the Yeovil Town Council, the actor will be at the Quedam Shopping Centre to turn on the Christmas lights at 6:30pm.
Evans also turned on the Covent Garden Christmas lights this month, joined by singer and broadcaster, Myleene Klass.
The duo attended the event which aims to raise money for the charity, Save the Children, which Evans has been an ambassador for since 2016.
The Welsh actor hit the silver screen with numerous projects during the early 2010s, paving the way for his ascending stardom.
Born in Wales and raised in the largely rural area of Aberbargoed, Evans moved to Cardiff as a teen to pursue music and drama before relocating to London for stage training and, eventually, won roles in West End musicals.
The actor eventually made his film breakthrough with the Clash of the Titans 2010 remake.
Speaking ahead of the Christmas light switch on in Yeovil, a spokesperson from Love Yeovil released a statement: " Exciting Announcement!
