GLASTONBURY Carnival, one of the largest lit processions in Europe, illuminated the town this weekend and ended the Somerset carnival circuit with a bang.

Thousands showed up in Glastonbury along the procession route for the last parade in the Somerset carnival circuit this year.

With over 100 entrants and around 50 carts participating, the procession which took place at 6.45pm on the Glastonbury Relief on Saturday, November 16, was a huge success.

Huckyduck carnival club once again won best tableau mounted – securing a seventh successive win towards The Starkey Cup, Newmarket CC won best comic feature, Rubalo JCC with Birds of Paradise won best juvenile feature and Ramblers CC won best feature mounted.
