GLASTONBURY organisers have announced headliners for its special 2025 Extravaganza event with a popular boyband set to appear this year.

Irish rock band, The Script, will be at Glastonbury Abbey for this year's Extravaganza which will be held on August 9 2025 - between 4:30pm and 10:00pm.

Launched in 1996, The Glastonbury Extravaganza started as a classical music concert but eventually moved towards a more eclectic mix of classical, pop and rock music.

It boasts previous headline acts such as Tom Odell, Van Morrison, Status Quo, Paolo Nutini, and Paloma Faith.

The Script first rose to fame in 2008 with the release of their self-titled debut album, which featured hit singles The Man Who Can’t Be Moved and Breakeven. Since then, the band have enjoyed a hit-filled career including six Number One albums.

The boyband is most known for their song 'Hall of Fame' which features Black Eyed Peas star, Will.i.am.

Overnight camping sessions will also be available in the campsite at the foot of the Glastonbury Tor via shuttle bus.

Tickets have officially gone on sale for the annual music festival today (November 20), for Extravaganza, which is one of three events organised by Michael Eavis and the Glastonbury Festival each year.

Tickets cost £50 for adults and £25 for children aged up to 16. Any remaining tickets will cost £55 / £30 on the gate.

At this time, tickets can only be purchased online.

Speaking ahead of this year's Glastonbury Festival, the organisers spoke about Glastonbury Extravaganza: "As always, overnight camping options are also available in the campsite nearby, at the foot of the Tor, which is also open for bookings now.

"Due to the nature of the event and fireworks display, there are no dogs or other animals allowed at the Extravaganza with the exception of registered Assistance Dogs only.

"If you cannot attend the event without a trained and registered assistance dog attending with you, please contact the accessibility team at access.team@glastonburyfestivals.co.uk.

"The Park & Ride will be running from Clarks Village car park in Street from 3:30pm.

"Please note that these are not accessible for wheelchairs and electric scooters."
