A new initiative will bring 11 world-famous musicians to Wells in 2025.
Maestro will see the musicians perform and teach at Wells Cathedral School's Cedars Hall, which has a capacity of 250 people.
Bill Lloyd, Wells Cathedral School’s head of programming and outreach, said: "The Maestro series is really about enabling visitors and young musicians to hear some of the most talented and widely acclaimed international artists right here in rural Somerset."
The series will feature solo recitals, duos, string quartets, and songs, with a focus on classical music, but also including jazz and pop.
The monthly series will begin on January 9 with British cellist Steven Isserlis, followed by pianist Mitsuko Uchida on February 13.
Mr Lloyd added: "This is such a coup for Cedars Hall.
"Mitsuko plays in Vienna, Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, London, New York, Tokyo… and now Wells."
The musicians will also give masterclasses and workshops for talented musicians at Wells Cathedral School.
Alex Laing, Wells Cathedral School’s director of music, said: "They recognise it’s an opportunity to nurture the next generation, and to acknowledge the help that they received themselves on their musical journey."
Tickets are available now, starting from £25 and free for under 18s.
