A community coffee shop has raised more than £250,000 for charity.
North Curry Village Coffee Shop, which is run entirely by volunteers, has reached the milestone after 18 years of fundraising.
The shop raises money for charities nominated by the volunteers, benefiting both national bodies such as Cancer Research UK and local groups.
The £250,000 raised represents the vision and commitment of everyone involved, as well as vast amounts of coffee, tea, homemade cakes, artwork, crafts, cards, and books.
National charity Dementia UK thanked North Curry Community Coffee Shop for its contribution, saying: "Your donation will help us grow the number of specialist Admiral Nurses so they can provide a lifeline to more families facing dementia."
Love Musgrove, the group that fundraises for Musgrove Hospital in Taunton, wrote that the coffee shop's "donation and continued support enables us to continue to improve the experience of patients."
Since opening in 2006, the community coffee shop has also helped make North Curry and surrounding villages thriving communities, attracting many visitors throughout the year.
The area is in the heart of the Somerset Levels, a haven for birdlife and loved by cyclists.
As the coffee shop continues to grow, more volunteers are needed to work behind the counter or do other jobs behind the scenes.
Volunteers of all ages come from a wide area and work just two-hour shifts.
Anyone interested in volunteering can ring the coffee shop on 01823 491414 during opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 4.30pm (4pm during December to February).
Alternatively, people can pop into the coffee shop and speak to a volunteer.
