TAUNTON'S WinterFest 2024 has been cancelled amid the adverse weather associated with Storm Bert.
A spokesperson for the event said: "We regret to inform you that due to the adverse weather forecast for Sunday, 24th November, Taunton’s WinterFest has been cancelled."
"The safety of our performers, contractors, traders, and all attendees is our top priority. With weather warnings in place, this decision was not made lightly but was the only responsible choice."
"Taunton's magical Christmas lights will be illuminated from tomorrow, so please be careful should you decide to venture in."
"We truly appreciate your understanding and continued support. Thank you for standing with us through this difficult decision, and we look forward to welcoming you at Taunton’s WinterFest 2025."
Hundreds of people had been expecting to attend the event.
