SOMERSET roads have been forced to close today after flooding has impacted towns and villages in Somerset.
A full list of the roads that are currently closed in Somerset is as follows:
- Langport Road between Langport and Muchelney.
- Cutts Road between East Lyng and Athelney.
- New Road West Lyng
- B3227, Ford Farm, Norton Fitzwarren - fallen tree
- A3088 Yeovil
- Folke Lane both ways from the A3030 to Folke Manor Farm (there are reports of stranded vehicles in this area)
- A30 Hentsridge Marsh
- A36 Beckington
- A37 Ilchester Road
Other closures include the B3227, which has been closed both ways from Rectory Road to Montys Lane. This was shut off after a tree had fallen on the road.
Lipe Lane is reportedly closed between Henlade and Creech St Michael, Taunton.
The A36 is also closed both ways between the A361 and the A350 (Services roundabout). This has been shut since 2:40pm yesterday (Sunday afternoon).
Somerset Council has confirmed they have had over 365 call-outs with 184 trees falling down around the county.
They also said that their crews are "flat-out" trying to clear up.
