The charges related to incidents in Elmwood Avenue, Bridgwater, on January 19 this year, and two counts in Stonegallows, Taunton, on April 2.
In each case, the company was guilty of “failing to secure that part of the street broken or open, in respect of the placing, maintenance or operation of traffic signs, failed to comply with directions given by the traffic authority, or was obstructed by plant or materials used or deposited in connection with the works, was adequately guarded and lit, and whilst failing to secure that traffic signs were placed and, in particular, to the needs of people with a disability”.
Allpoints Fibre Networks Ltd was fined £6,000 on each of the three counts and was also ordered to pay a £2,000 victim surcharge, along with costs of £4,666.78.
The court ruled that the total £24,666.78 bill should be settled by December 19.
