Taunton Christmas lights were place in different areas of the town, including a present in the Orchard Shopping Centre and two reindeer to accompany the town's Christmas tree at The Market House.
The Winterfest event this year was cancelled due to the disruption caused by Storm Bert.
A town council spokesperson said the contractor will be on site to establish the cause of the issue and repair the lights.
