A popular adult art class in Wellington that has attracted more than 250 attendees is expanding its offering.
Set up by Claire Western in 2019, they have proven to be a hit with the masses.
The classes, which cover a range of art forms including drawing, painting, printmaking, and mixed media, are set to grow in the new year.
This is because Ms Western, an established painter, is teaming up with fellow artist Clare Schmidt Norris to meet the ever increasing demand.
She said: "It is tremendously exciting and rewarding running these tutored courses for adults.
"My small, informal sessions are aimed at every artist, from complete novices or those who have done no artwork for years, to very accomplished professionals who want to broaden their experience.
"I aim to increase knowledge and confidence, offering ways of working which liberate people from stale ideas and practice."
The classes have also moved to a new venue at Eliza House in the town centre, where Ms Western teaches in a large period room.
New tutor Clare Schmidt Norris is an experienced teacher, and both tutors will provide all the materials needed to try a variety of media.
Claire Western’s courses always fill up fast, and some are already fully booked for the new year.
People who are interested in joining the classes can find more information on Claire Western's website (www.clairewesternart.co.uk),, as well as on Clare Schmidt Norris's website (www.clareschmidtnorris.-com/workshops).
