A CUT-through route used by commuters hoping to avoid Henlade traffic on the way into Taunton is set to close for a week.
Greenway Lane, through Lower Henlade leading to Haydon is a sharp turn off the A358 and often sees commuters from Yeovil and Ilminster using it when Henlade traffic is bad.
A stretch of the road, near the junction with Stoke Road, will close from December 9 until 16, for 24 hours a day.
This is to allow Mike Ford Groundworks to carry out new connection works, believed to be drainage.
A diversion route will be in place, which can be found in more detail on Travel Somerset's website.
Motorists are advised to use Stoke Road off the A358 if they're trying to access Lower Henlade or Haydon.
