A road in Glastonbury is set to be closed temporarily for two days.
The Roman Way will be shut from its junction with Hill Head for 575 metres south west.
Somerset Council has issued the order to allow Openreach to carry out 'poling works.'
The closure will be in place from December 2 until December 3, between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
It was revealed in a public notice posted on the Public Notice Portal on November 28.
The closure is in order to ensure the safety of both the public and the road itself, according to the council's statement.
The council has advised motorists to check alternative routes.
Further details and registration for alerts more than two weeks in advance can be found at: https://one.network/?tm=140185826.
The work is being carried out by Sunbelt Rentals on behalf of Openreach.
Members of the public seeking more information about the closure can contact Sunbelt Rentals on 0370 050 0792.
The reference number for this particular closure is ttro450249E.
The work is necessary for the safety of the public and to prevent potential damage to the road, the council has stated.
