A HOLIDAY park on the border of Devon and Somerset has been named the best in Britain at a prestigious awards ceremony.

Peckmoor Farm Lodges, a popular destination for staycations, has won the award for 2024 beating out strong competition across the country.

The holiday spot was also once again crowned the Best Small Lodge Escape destination in Devon, Somerset & Dorset.

This coveted title recognises the holiday parks, lodge resorts and boating locations with the highest scores in independent customer satisfaction surveys throughout the 2024 season.

"Being named Best in Britain really is a wonderful achievement when you consider the competition we were up against," said  Jeremy and Sarah Barber, owners of Peckmoor Farm Lodges.

"We always try go above and beyond to provide our guests with exceptional holiday experiences and it’s great to see that effort paying off."

The Crewkerne holiday park is part of Hoseasons’ Autograph collection.

This is a collection of luxurious hot-tub lodge locations across the UK for couples looking for a short break.

Speaking about Peckmoor as a holiday site, a judge from Hoseasons said: "Home to animals including sheep and horses, you’ll fall in love with the relaxed pace of this idyllic organic farm.

"There are views of racehorses training and opportunities to watch lambing from the end of March to mid-May. Their commitment and hard work have led to impressive review scores this year – a key factor for most holidaymakers when choosing where to stay.

"These locations continually go above and beyond to delight our guests."
