An all-inclusive care home in Taunton has welcomed its new general manager.
Marie George has joined Sherwell Manor, bringing with her more than 30 years of experience in healthcare and social care.
A registered nurse, Ms George has worked across a variety of settings, including as a forensic nurse practitioner, within Accident and Emergency services in Bristol, at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and in community care services.
She said: "After more than three decades in care, my passion for supporting people remains as strong as ever.
"Every resident has their own story and aspirations, and it is a privilege to help create an environment where they can continue to thrive.
"I look forward to working closely with residents, families, colleagues, and the wider community to make Sherwell Manor a place where people feel genuinely cared for."
In recent years, Ms George has moved into senior roles within social care, serving as both a regional manager and registered manager.
Sherwell Manor is inviting the community to a grand opening event on Saturday, July 18.
The event will run from 2pm to 4pm, offering guided tours of the new facility, family-friendly entertainment, and homemade refreshments.
