A BRIDGWATER man has been sentenced to 23 months in prison for theft and robbery.

Corrie Moore, 26, of Bincombe Road, Bridgwater, appeared in Taunton Crown Court on June 11 of this year.

According to the court listings, Moore repeatedly stole fragrance items from Boots in Bridgwater in 2025.

This included fragrances to the value of £295 on December 8 of last year, fragrances to the value of £350 on October 6, fragrance gift sets to the value of £281 on November 23, fragrances to the value of £144 on December 9, fragrances to the value of £170 on November 25, fragrances to the value of £239 on December 3, and fragrances to the value of £253 on November 26.

The court listings also stated that Moore robbed a person of items of clothing on March 18 of last year in Bridgwater.

Moore has been given a five-year criminal behaviour order and a total custodial period of 23 months.

PC Bleach, officer in the case, said: “Corrie Moore has been sentenced for multiple offences in which he targeted businesses in Bridgwater.

“The impact on businesses of such criminality can be significant, not only financially but on the welfare of their staff too. We look to work closely with local businesses around crime prevention for that reason.

“We would encourage everyone to report such incidents to us, as cases like this show that offenders will be brought to justice.”
