HEROIC Royal Marines of locally-based 40 Commando took part in an offical welcome home parade today after their tour of duty in Afghanistan.
Proud residents lined the streets as the Marines, led by the Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines, marched from Station Road at 11am to the Market House for a drumhead service.
They paraded along Corporation Street, where Taunton Deane Mayor Tim Slattery and Lady Gass, Lord Lieutenant of Somerset, took the salute.
