THE Wellington Stroke Club is a Registered Charity affiliated to the Stroke Association.
The members are men and women who have suffered strokes and are living at home either with their spouse or on their own, supported by family carers or in an agency.
The helpers are all voluntary and give a few hours or the whole day, once a week.

The income to run the Club comes from fundraising and donations; e.g. coffee mornings, motorway collections.
The Club employ a physiotherapist who is paid out of donations, as the NHS does not supply the Club with one. Various activities, speakers, lunches, are enjoyed by the members, and also regular outings.
The members carers also have a break to do shopping, etc.
