CEREMONIAL standards were officially placed at Somerset’s County Hall this week.
The Queen’s Colour and Regimental Colour of the 6th Battalion (Somerset and Cornwall) The Light Infantry (Volunteers) were placed at County Hall in Taunton on Thursday.
Bugles sounded to begin the ceremony, which was formally opened by council chairman Alan Gloak, and culminated in the unveiling of the colours by Somerset Lord Lieutenant Lady Gass and Brigadier Christopher Wolverson.
Cllr Gloak said: “The council feels very privileged to have these colours at the entrance of County Hall, welcoming all visitors, and acting as a clear demonstration of enduring support for the Regiment and its inseparable link to the County and community.”
