TEN-foot banners, drama and artwork are set to transform St John Fisher Catholic Church in Wellington this weekend when the active young people and children of the parish take over the service to celebrate National Youth Sunday.
The church, in Mantle Street, offers facilities for children of all ages.
Little ones go out from the service to explore its bible readings through stories and artwork in the Children’s Liturgy, while the KingFishers youth group caters for 8- 14 year-olds.
KingFishers have had another active year, with a programme of games, rambles, parties, a visit to a scout climbing-wall and a 22-hour sleepover at the church.
