FOLLOWING their hugely successful concert last September, Sinfonietta are putting together a delightful medley of seasonal music on Sunday December 13, at 3pm, at St James’ Church. A romantic mood will be conjured up by the Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana and the lovely Beethoven Romance in F for solo violin and orchestra. Joining them on this occasion will be local vocalist Amy Carson, who is now a soprano of international repute. She will be singing arias from Messiah and Exultate Jubilate by Mozart.
Afternoon concerts in the winter seem to work well, so anyone interested in a break from Christmas shopping and a quiet sit down with some lovely music, not to mention tea and mince pies in the interval, should come along. Tickets will be available on the door.
