FENCERS from Taunton Blades were the best of the British at an International Under 15 Sabre Tournament in France.
Dominic Kerr led the way with a splendid 16th in the 85-strong men's entry, beaten by just one point by the eventual winner of the tournament.
Owen Vickery came to the knock-out stages 11th seed, but finished 20th in a tough draw. Nat Lewis fought despite injury and the 13-year-old came an excellent 23rd.
Star of the weekend, however, was 12-year-old Felicity Kerr, who showed great maturity to gain fifth place in the women's event.
