A TRUCKING association has put the A358 between Taunton and Ilminster at the top of its list for investment.
Members of the Freight Transport Association's South West Freight Council have deemed the stretch the stretch of road to be on 'red alert' -- meaning it is a congested route carrying a high proportion of the region's goods traffic.
The council also said the A303 should be taken off red alert in favour of the A358 to help reduce congestion and improve journey time reliability for industry.
