STARRY-EYED merchandiser Brett Buckland (pictured) is dreaming of the day he stacks his own CDs on the shelves at Currys in Taunton.
Workmates will see his singing skills for the first time when he appears on television in ITV'S 'Stars in Their Eyes' tomorrow (Saturday) evening.
Brett, 37, is performing as Raul Malo of The Mavericks with his version of 'Dance The Night Away' on the talent show hosted by Matthew Kelly.
"The show's already been recorded, so I know the result, but I'm not allowed to tell," said Brett, who works at Currys in Hankridge Farm.
"It's the first time I've done anything like this and I'm nervous to see how I look. All I can say is I did quite well and the other contestants were very good.
" Matthew Kelly was great and it was a brilliant experience."
Brett's family -- wife Linda, brothers Michael and Alan, and sister Mandy -- were in the audience.
"That helped," he said. "This is the first time I've really pushed myself.
"I used to sing in pubs in a Country and Western band, but I had to give up when I hurt my back.
"But I'm going for it now. I've got a lot of original songs I'll be putting down on demos and sending off."
Stars in Their Eyes goes out on ITV tomorrow (Saturday) at 6.30pm.
