WELLINGTON Cricket Club have clinched another sponsorship deal with The Cleve Hotel and Country Club.
The hotel will be the club's main sponsor for another year in a deal worth £1,000.
News of this continued sponsorship was revealed at the club's annual meeting on Tuesday night.
The 2003 season was viewed as one of consolidation for the lst XI following relegation from the Somerset Division of the West of England League the previous year. Sixth position in Division 1 of the The Shrubbery Hotel Somerset League was regarded as "acceptable."
The club's 2nd XI was relegated after finishing bottom of Division 1 in the 2nd XI Competition, while the club's Sunday and Midweek sides enjoyed better success.
The club's junior section (Under 11, 13 and 15) thrived throughout the summer.
The club's income over 12 months was £18,112 but this was almost completely wiped out by expenditure resulting in a profit of just £12. However major capital expenditure in 2003 included a new scorebox and a cricket festival week.
