STEVE Symons has lost his job as secretary of Sunday League side Linden City.

It follows the decision by the Somerset FA earlier this month to suspend the title-chasing club for non-payment of fines.

Linden were forced to cancel a game against local rivals Club Rangers in the third division because of the ban, which was later lifted, but which resulted in a loss of three crucial points.

Linden chairman Pete Wainwright said yesterday: "The committee returned a vote of no confidence in the club secretary and he was voted out of office."

Dave Poulsom has been appointed to take over.
