MURDER suspect David Robson appears at Exeter Crown Court today (Friday).
Mr Robson, 47, stands accused of shooting Steve Bowden dead in the bar of Wellington's Sanford Arms in South Street on October 29, last year and faces life imprisonment.
The hearing will be his first opportunity to say whether he intends to plead guilty or not guilty.
Taunton Deane Magistrates will next week decide whether they consider Sanford landlady Brenda Grensted is fit to run her pub.
Police have collected a dossier of evidence, including statements from neighbouring residents about alleged problems with anti-social behaviour in and around the pub, with a view to having Ms Grensted's licence revoked.
The hearing is set for Tuesday and Wednesday.
