The quarter final of the Barry Mounter Knockout Trophy took place at Praa Sands Golf Club on Sunday.
Chris Cox-Webber and Phil Hales, William Giddings and Charlie May, Alun Dixon and Nigel Waters, Barry Knowles and Paul Forsythe will now go on to next week's semi-final.
There was also a Stableford on Sunday which was won by Mike Hichens with 37 points just one ahead of Brian Pearce in second place. David Phillips took third place on the last nine holes from Mark Prisk, both returning 35 points while Derek Murrish was fifth with 34 points scoring 14 points on the last six holes.
Sarah Blight won the ladies' Stableford on Saturday in glorious weather with a fantastic 42 points, reducing her handicap three shots to 34. Helen Carson took second place with a fine 38 points while Lou Archer took third with 34 points.
The ladies' Wednesday nine-hole Stableford was won by Jackie Quick with 18 points on countback from Anna Harry in second place. Barbara Wilkins took third place with 17 points, also winning the putting with 18 putts.
Alan Graham won the weekly Stableford with 35 points with Tom Hayward in second place with 33 points.
The quiz on Friday night was won by Mike Jacka and Nick Watters. Kate Phillips and John Pawlyn took second place on a tie-break from Rita and Martin Russell while David Phillips and Francis Vickerstaffe were fourth.
Next week there is a Monday to Friday Stableford, the ladies play a nine-hole Stableford on Wednesday morning while the O.G.R.E.S. meet on Wednesday afternoon.
The ladies play a foursomes on Saturday and the men's Barry Mounter knockout semi-final takes place on Sunday. There will also a competition for players not involved in the Barry Mounter knockout.
