BURNHAM can boast a well-equipped and highly trained lifesaving service after the opening of the first RNLI lifeboat house in the town for nearly 75 years took place on Sunday.
But crucial minutes could be added to the response time of the team by cars which are causing an obstruction at the back of Somerfield.
Despite signs warning against parking, people are still leaving their cars parked opposite the gates near the £150,000 building, and RNLI leaders are appealing for people to think twice before they park.
