ARCHAEOLOGISTS are assessing a Highbridge site earmarked for houses that is at the centre of a row between developers and residents.
Experts are digging land between Alstone Road and Alstone Lane to see what remains and items lurk beneath the soil.
The site is believed to be an Iron Age Lake Settlement likened to Meare and Glastonbury.
