POLICE officers from Tiverton and Cullompton took part in a high speed chase along the North Devon Link Road early on Sunday.
The three men, who were chased by police for a suspected burglary at Woolicombe post office at 4am, and who were believed to have made off with petrol which they did not pay for from Cullompton services at 2.30am, drove a Lexus four wheel drive.
A police helicopter and dogs were brought in to help with the search, as the suspects drove at speeds of more than 120mph.
A stinger device was used at the roundabout at Bolham to bring the vehicle to a stop.
