A £25,000 sculpture is set to be installed at Bridgwater Docks in a scheme which Somerset arts chiefs hope will get regional and national recognition.
The announcement was made yesterday (Wednesday) that the sculpture, a transparent cylinder which will move up and down with the tide, should be launched in September 2004.
Designs for the project have come from nationally-renowned artist Michael Pinsky, who was influenced by the fact that Bridgwater Bay has the second highest tidal range in the entire world.
