A Yeovil Town Squad X1 returned home from Oxford yesterday (Wednesday) having gained a share of the spoils in an entertaining 4-4 draw in the Pontins Holiday Combination League.
Oxford United Reserves went 2-0 up, before the Glovers got back into the game and took a 3-2 lead. Shaun Smith and Jamie Gosling drew Yeovil level and then Andy Lindegaard fired the Glovers ahead.
Sam Croft headed in Yeovil's fourth of the afternoon, but in the end they settled for a point in a 4-4 bonanza.
Yeovil boss Gary Johnson was reported to have described it as a 'great game' even though it was played on a poor pitch at Oxford City's Court Place Farm ground.
