ABLE-bodied swimmer Nicki Puddy, from Highbridge, stole the show from her world class disabled training partner Anthony Stephens at the Stichting Double Dutch Open short-course championships in Amsterdam.
In her first International event, competing against swimmers from 38 teams and 15 countries, the 29-year-old won five gold medals, in the 50, 100 and 200 metres freestyle, 100 backstroke and 100 individual medley.
Nicki, who, like Anthony, trains at Kings of Wessex Leisure Centre, Cheddar, was in a 13-strong South-West of England team, made up of both able-bodied and disabled. All of them swam well and only two did not win a medal.
