You might have to cut down a little on the paprika if you are serving this dish to small children so the end dish isn't too hot to the taste.
1 lb cubed stewing meat (beef, veal pork, or a mixture)
2 tablespoons of oil
1 lb sliced onions
2 cloves garlic
1 pint beef stock
1lb tomatoes or a large can
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon tomato pure
2 heaped teaspoons paprika
Salt and black pepper
Garnish
2 tablespoons sour cream
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
1. Heat the oil in a large casserole and seal the meat. Add the onions and continue to cook for a few minutes. Stir in the flour and then add the rest of the ingredients.
2. Bring to the boil, cover, and cook for 1 hours until the meat is cooked. Just before serving stir in the sour cream and sprinkle on the chopped parsley.
(Serves 4 portions)
