There is a huge shortage of beef emerging in the UK. Nor is it available anywhere else in the world - contrary to the dire warnings of some pundits who failed to take into account the burgeoning economies of China, Japan and the Far East. We are now seeing a lot of South American beef as well as New Zealand and Australian beef and lamb going to China and Japan. These are huge growing markets with great potential because red meat is probably one of the cheapest proteins in the world for human consumption
