"THERE is so much magic in this show," say the producers of the Porthtowan Players' Sleeping Beauty, "that we need six fairies to keep the audience spelling-bound." That's the proud boast for their annual panto, being staged at Porthtowan Village Hall from February 19 - 21 at 7.30pm (with a 2.30pm matinee on the Saturday).
An original script by Pam Douglas promises traditional panto fun, laughter and a few surprises.
"With nearly 20 under-16s on the stage - some taking principal parts, including Sleeping Beauty, the Prince and the Wizard - and others performing for the very first time, this really is a show with something for everyone," said publicity officer Rosamary Dunn.
Tickets are available on the door, or in advance from Kippy and Dika on 01209 211039. They cost £4 (£2.50 children or concessions) for every performance except Saturday night when the price is £5 (£3).
