Sports mad youngsters will be able to brush up their football, hockey and rugby skills during half term.
A huge range of activities have been organised by staff at Plymouth City Council's
Mayflower Centre which will keep active 8 to 14 year-olds on their toes while school's out.
The sessions will be held at the leisure centre in Central Park and will give youngsters the chance to try out new sports as well as get tips on how to improve old favourites such as football and basketball.
Qualified staff will be on hand to put youngsters through their paces in a wide-ranging programme that includes squash, quick cricket, netball, rounders, trampolining, softball, penalty shoot-out and swimming.
The Activate event covers three days of the half term, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (February 16, 17 and 18) and will run from 10am until 4pm.
And because many parents are working, the centre also has a childcare facility, which will allow mums and dads to drop their children off earlier or later.
It costs £4.30 for each full day of activities and a further £1.50 for early morning child care (which runs from 8.30am until 10am), £1.50 for late afternoon child care (which runs from 4pm until 5.30pm) and an extra £1 for swimming.
Bookings should be made as early as possible. For further information contact the Mayflower Centre on 0870 300 0040.
