A FIRE broke out at a property in Bridgwater's Express Business Park yesterday (Tuesday).

A fault in an air conditioning unit in the plant room of a property in Mallard Court caused the blaze.

Fire crews from Bridgwater and Street were called out at 5.34pm and the fire was extinguished by 6.25pm.

No-one was hurt but the fire, which began in the roof space of the office building, caused severe damage to the air conditioning unit and 20 per cent smoke damage to the second floor.

There was 30 per cent fire damage in the plant room.

Smoke alarms were fitted in this building, which raised the alarm.
