Torquay celebrated another win on Saturday when they destroyed struggling side Macclesfield 4-1 at Plainmoor.
Kevin Hill opened the scoring on eight minutes with a stunning overhead kick following an Alex Russell corner. And before half time both David Graham and Craig Taylor added to the scoreline with headers.
Though Macclesfield did pull one back in the second half, Martin Gritton made it 4-1 with only minutes of the game left after Matthew Tipson had recieved a second yellow card and left the field.
The Gulls have a second-string friendly arranged against Dawlish Town of the Screwfix Direct League Premier Division at Sandy Lane on Tuesday night.
Recent off-the-field problems at Dawlish have made a big impression to their on-the-field fortunes. They currently lie bottom of their division, but in ex-Torquay, Dundee United and Exeter midfielder Chris Myers, they have found an enthusiastic rookie manager, and they won their first home game of the season on Saturday when they beat Bishop Sutton 2-1.
Torquay head coach Leroy Rosenior is likely to give games to David Woozley, Kevin Wills, Jimmy Benefield, Arjan van Heusden, Joe Broad and Kain Bond.
Right back Lee Canoville missed Saturday's game with a slight strain, but is likely to be available again in time for next week's home match against Scunthorpe.
