A TOWN council will have to get listed building consent before it can stop vandals climbing onto the roof of a brand new structure, it emerged this week.
Chard Town Council is making a second application for listed building consent to add anti-vandalism measures to the Guildhall.
Even though much of the building is brand new, the entire structure is listed, and changes to the rear of the Guildhall also require listed building consent.
