WELLINGTON'S final eye in the sky is still due by the end of January.
The CCTV globe on the corner of South Street has been empty for more than a year since the rest of the town's camera system went live.
Lengthy negotiations between Taunton Deane Council and the building's owners were successfully concluded in November.
But while some preliminary works have been carried out the main contractors have so far been unable to fit the camera's installation into their busy schedule.
Deane council officer John Lewis told the Somerset County Gazette: "We are expecting to have the camera on-line by the end of the month."
