Redruth RBL A gained a point on Clinton SC A on Friday to lie just one point behind the division one Mining Snooker League leaders.
RBL A beat St Day 5-1, while Clinton A won 4-2 against Playing Place. Redruth RBL B moved into third spot with a 6-0 whitewash of Four Lanes and Godolphin Club (despite Anthony Curnow scoring a 40 break) could only draw 3-3 at Penponds.
This is the first time for several seasons that seeded Godolphin have been pushed out of a top three spot.
Bell's Court gave professional Andy Hicks a rare outing at Clinton B on Friday and he responded with an 86 break in their 3-3 draw. Pool had an excellent 5-1 win at Redruth British Rail, pushing the Railmen into their lowest league position for many seasons.
In division two Breage beat Illogan HI B 5-1 to take over the lead from Leedstown, who could only draw with Redruth British Rail. For British Rail, Mark Annear beat Doug Oats and David Salisbury won a close frame against Ian Pollard. Heamoor had a bye but are still in contention with a match in hand.
Playing Place are showing improved form near the bottom, leaving Illogan B and Redruth British Rail in some trouble.
Gary Williams made a 48 break for St Agnes, who went down 4-2 to Illogan A, and there were 32 breaks from Shaun Tripconey (Breage) and Nick Rendle (Godolphin Club) - the latter's team beating Camborne Conservatives 6-0.
In division three leaders Lanner are now a massive 13 points clear of Camborne RBL. Lanner beat Park Bottom B 5-1, while Camborne RBL won 4-2 against Godolphin Club. Carharrack slipped up by losing 4-2 to Camborne Conservative A.
