THERE will be some tasty old tarts on display at this year's offering from the Camborne Wesley Players - and that's just the actors.
The Queen of Hearts is a traditional pantomime involving a tray of tarts, a wedding, a dame and a baddy.
On the eve of her wedding to the Prince of Diamonds the proverbial tray of tarts made to enable the wedding to take place are stolen by the evil Ace of Spades, played by Derrick Richards, better known as the shorthand teacher from Camborne College.
The prince must recover them before the wedding can take place, which of course he does, and they all live happily ever after.
The £1,000 collected from last year's panto has now been handed over to the companies chosen charities.
These are £300 to St Julia's Hospice, £300 to the Air Ambulance, £300 to the Chestnut Appeal and £100 to Christian Aid.
The Queen of Hearts is at the Camborne Wesley Hall from January 29-31 at 7.30pm, and 2.30pm on Saturday.
Tickets are available from Miller Estate Agents price £3 for adults, children and senior citizens.
